Fresh Flowers Ketubah with Conservative Hebrew and Inspiration English Texts

I turned to the roses, morning glories, marigolds and nasturtiums in my garden for the inspiration for this design.

The Conservative text used here is the longest of all commonly-used Hebrew or Aramaic texts, because it includes the entire Orthodox text PLUS the Lieberman Clause. The only reason (in my opinion) to use this text is if your Rabbi or officiant requires it.

It's paired here with the "Inspiration" English text. Generally, when a Rabbi or other officiant requires that you use an Orthodox or Conservative text, they are referring to the Aramaic text only, and they are happy to have it paired with a modern egalitarian text. In any case, you should make sure your officiant approves both your Hebrew/Aramaic and English texts.

The handwritten texts are what make my ketubot unique among printed ketubot. This is a print, of course, but the original lettering was created by hand with a metal-nibbed pen and India ink (not typeset!) and the details I fill in about you will be done the same way. I then bring your details into the file, taking care that the size and spacing look natural and of-a-piece with the surrounding text.

The finished ketubah is 17" square, an archival inkjet print on velvet rag paper. I'll ship it to you rolled in a tube along with some directions for signing, protecting and displaying it.

When you place your order, I will set up a googledoc on which you can enter all your details.
